Process
How an engagement works
Six stages from first contact to delivered report. Administrative staff support each stage; the medical opinions are Dr. Wolstein's alone.
1. Inquiry and scope
Send the referral form. WMC's intake team collects the administrative facts: parties, jurisdiction, deadline, the service needed and the approximate volume of records. Please do not send records yet.
2. Review and quote
WMC checks for conflicts and confirms that the questions fall within Dr. Wolstein's expertise and licensure, that the timing works, and what the scope will be. You receive a written quote.
3. Engagement
WMC is the contracting party for physician services. Engagement terms, including retainer, cancellation and testimony terms, are provided in writing before work begins.
4. Records and scheduling
Once engaged, you provide records through a secure channel. WMC's staff organize and index them, flag apparent gaps and schedule any examination. Staff do not interpret medical records.
5. Physician work
Dr. Wolstein reviews the evidence, conducts any examination and forms his opinions, including their limits. He writes and signs every physician opinion.
6. Delivery and billing
The report is checked for formatting and completeness and delivered on the agreed timetable. WMC invoices for its professional services under the engagement terms.
