Physician Future-Care Assessment
A physician's assessment of the future medical care reasonably needed because of the injuries at issue.
Overview
A physician future-care assessment sets out, from a medical perspective, the future care that is reasonably needed because of the injuries at issue: for example follow-up evaluations, diagnostic testing, medications, therapies and procedures.
This is a physician opinion, not a full life care plan. It does not price future care, and it does not include a vocational assessment or an economic loss report. Those are separate services provided by separately identified professionals, and they are scoped and contracted separately.
What is included
- Review of the medical records
- An examination where appropriate, for New York and New Jersey matters
- A written physician opinion on future medical needs
Not included:
- Pricing of future care
- Preparation of a life care plan
- Vocational or economic analysis
