Record Review & Physician Opinion
Independent physician review of the medical records, with a written opinion on the questions counsel defines.
Overview
Dr. Wolstein reviews the medical records and case materials you provide and prepares a written opinion that addresses the specific medical questions in the matter. WMC accepts a review only when those questions fall within his training and experience as a board-certified emergency physician.
Typical questions include whether emergency department evaluation and treatment met the standard of care, whether the documented injuries are consistent with the reported mechanism, and what the records show about the course of evaluation and treatment.
Before accepting a matter, WMC confirms the legal question, the volume and condition of the records, the jurisdiction, the deadline and any exclusions, and then provides a written quote.
What is included
- Review of the records and materials counsel provides
- A written physician opinion report limited to the defined questions
- Identification of records that appear to be missing
- Supplemental review of later-produced records, when authorized
